1. Booking and organisation
How do you book a table at Taverna Estia?
Booking is compulsory and can be made using the form on the website.
How far in advance is it advisable to book?
We recommend booking a week in advance, or at least a few days beforehand; at weekends and during the high season, it is best to book more than a week in advance.
Is it possible to book for the same day?
Yes, that’s possible, but we may no longer have any places available.
What is the cancellation/no-show policy?
Bookings are confirmed by credit card. In the event of cancellation less than 24 hours in advance or a no-show, a charge of €150 per person will be applied.
Is a deposit or down payment required?
We do not ask for any advance payments or deposits, but simply require confirmation via credit card.
2. Menu and dining experience
What tasting tours are available and how much do they cost?
We offer three tasting menus: Memoria del Tempo (€200), Diciottofilari (€210) and Cammenann’ Cammenann’ (€250), as well as à la carte options. Full details are available on the Menu page.
Is it possible to order à la carte instead of the tasting menu?
You can order à la carte, with a minimum of three dishes per person.
How long does a tasting menu dinner usually last?
Our fine dining experience lasts an average of 2.5 hours.
Is there a wine pairing included with the tasting menu?
Yes, we have three food and wine pairing menus, each designed to complement its own tasting menu: the ‘Memoria del Tempo’ pairing, the ‘Diciottofilari’ pairing and the ‘Cammenann’ Cammenann’’ pairing.
Do the menus change with the seasons?
Yes, the cuisine reflects the seasonal availability of local produce from the Campania region.
Can you see the kitchen whilst you’re eating?
Yes, the dining room has an open-plan kitchen, so you can watch the kitchen team at work up close.
Is it possible to gain experience in the kitchen?
Yes, you can book a cooking experience directly via the website. To request a specific experience with the chef in the kitchen, we recommend emailing info@tavernaestia.it.
Will it be possible to meet Chef Francesco Sposito during dinner?
Yes, Chef Francesco Sposito always comes out into the dining room to greet the guests and chat with them at the end of the evening.
3. Nutritional requirements
Is it possible to request a gluten-free menu?
We can provide a menu for coeliacs, including bread and pastries.
Is it possible to request a vegetarian/vegan menu?
Our ‘Diciottofilari’ menu features our plant-based selection and is suitable for vegetarian guests. We can also adapt it for vegan guests who request this in advance.
How are food allergies and intolerances managed?
Please let us know about any allergies or intolerances when you book, so that we can tailor the experience to ensure your safety.
Do I need to declare any allergies when booking?
Yes, it is advisable to let them know in advance.
4. Occasions and events
Is the restaurant suitable for special occasions?
Yes, Taverna Estia is a popular choice for romantic dinners, anniversaries and special occasions; you can mention the occasion when you book.
Is it possible to organise private events or corporate dinners?
Yes, Taverna Estia is suitable for both private events and corporate dinners.
Is there a minimum/maximum number of guests for groups?
We accept bookings, subject to table availability, for groups of up to 30 people.
5. Gift hampers and dinners
Is it possible to buy Taverna Estia products?
Yes, Gift Boxes, extra virgin olive oil, sweet-and-sour papacelle peppers and Vesuvius cherry tomatoes are available. They can be purchased easily via the shop page.
Is it possible to give a dinner at Taverna Estia as a gift?
Yes, you can purchase a dinner gift voucher, which can be used towards one of the three tasting menus available and is valid for 6 months.
6. Practical information
What is the dress code?
There is no compulsory dress code: the aim is to make every guest feel at ease.
Does the restaurant have a car park?
Yes, there is free public parking available opposite the restaurant. Our valet will ensure your cars are safe.
Is it accessible to people with mobility impairments?
Yes: the entrance is free of architectural barriers and the toilet is accessible.
Are there any accommodation options for families with children?
Please let us know if there are any children in your party when you make your booking, so that we can make the necessary arrangements and offer you a menu suitable for them.
Do you allow dogs?
Small dogs are welcome; please do let us know if you are bringing one when you make your booking.
What are the opening hours and which days of the week is it closed?
Open for dinner from Wednesday to Friday (19:30–22:00),
on Saturdays for lunch and dinner (12:30–14:15 / 19:30–22:00),
and on Sundays for lunch only (12:30–14:15).
Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Can the restaurant be reached by public transport?
It is best to get to the restaurant by car or taxi, although there is a stop on the L8 line, which runs between Naples and Nola.
What languages are spoken in the theatre?
The staff speak Italian, English, Spanish and German.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major payment cards: Maestro, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB and UnionPay.
