The Vesuviano is the gourmet panettone par excellence, housed in an iconic package created exclusively for Taverna Estia by the internationally renowned artist Vanni Cuoghi, whose drawn ‘Venetian’ recalls the style of this superb panettone.
The result of a slow process that allows the sourdough starter, through low-temperature fermentation and a leavening period of over 36 hours, to reach its natural development, giving the dough homogeneity and harmonious exaltation of flavours.
The Panettone Vesuviano speaks the language of its land, that of Vesuvius: Pellechiella apricots generously fill the soft, golden leavened product.
Strong but harmonious flavour, the child of a delicate candidature that never overpowers the apricots chosen and cultivated with extreme care by local agriculture. Their fragrance already stands out when the package is closed, but once it is opened, a rounded sensation takes shape. The bite becomes a reassuring softness on the palate with a creamy texture that explodes into an aromatic, indeed perhaps dreamlike dimension with traditional scents and flavours.
Type ‘0’ flour, sugar, Normandy butter, ‘Taverna Estia’ natural sourdough starter, egg yolk, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, dried fruit, acacia honey, candied ‘Pellecchiella del Vesuvio IGP’ apricot, barley malt.
